Postcard Perfect Cliff House

by Katie Cook

I went to the Vintage Paper Fair this weekend and snatched up several vintage post cards. I’m sharing my finds with you in a new weekly feature where I compare the post card images with a current photo of the same location.

Our first postcard perfect location is the Cliff House. I found two post cards featuring very different versions of the famous waterfront restaurant. The first postcard is postmarked in 1908 and shows the Cliff House during the fire of 1907.

The second post card is postmarked in 1958 and shows the Cliff House with a Redwood facade.

And finally here is the Cliff House today.
